A-League champions Melbourne Victory have signed Thailand striker Sutee Suksomkit as a guest player, from Singapore club Tampines Rovers.

Sutee, 31, will join Melbourne in early October, subject to a medical, visa and approval from Football Federation Australia.

He could play a maximum of nine games as a guest player.

"Sutee is an experienced, quality player who we've been watching for quite some time,'' club football operations manager Gary Cole said in a club statement released over the weekend.

"His credentials at international level are impressive and we believe he will be a good fit in our offensive structure.''

Sutee has represented Thailand 60 times, scoring 16 goals, and will help Victory in replacing striker Danny Allsopp, who left earlier this month to play in Qatar with Al-Rayyan Sports Club.
