Coca-Cola Thailand will launch 4 health drinks in 3 years - Thailand - Coca-Cola - Business

Coca-Cola Thailand is expanding its non-alcohol drink portfolio by planning a launch of 4 new health beverages within 3 years. This is in tandem with its worldwide ‘Live Positively’ program.

Mr. Jorge Garduno, General Manager of Coca-Cola (Thailand) Ltd., the producer of Minute Maid Pulpy, said the company will launch four non-alcohol drinks over the next three years to expand its non-sparkling drink portfolio.

The company also plans to bring into Thailand some products or brands that are already available overseas. Also on the agenda is adapting some drinks to unique Thai tastes and expectations.

Currently, the company’s portfolio comprises 70 per cent carbonated soft drinks with non-carbonated drinks at 30 per cent. The company’s 2009 revenue is expected to reach $597 million out of the Thai non-alcoholic drink market, valued at $1.5 billion. However, Mr. Garduno believes there is still much room for expansion into the Thai market.

The company recently joined hands with Thai Nam Thip and Haad Thip, its local partners, to launch a worldwide global campaign entitled ‘Live Positively’. The launch of this plan is designed to promote the concept of sustainability into all aspects of Coca-Cola business within three years.
