Google Docs to allow storage of any file
Anil Sabharwal from the Google Docs team wrote in a blog post, "Now accessing your work files doesn't require a connection to your internal office network. Nor do you need to e-mail files to yourself, carry around a thumb-drive, or use a company network drive – you can access your files using Google Docs from any web-enabled computer."
This turns Google Docs into a virtual backup or a hard-drive. According to the Official Google Blog, this new service will be available over the next few weeks.
Google Apps Premium Edition is a fee-based Google Docs version for the business users and users must pay $3.50 per GB per year for the service.
It permits the automatic syncing of files via a new ‘Memeo Connect for Google Apps’ version and includes Gmail, Google Docs, Google sites, Google Calendar and much more.
