Thailand, Singapore, US Conclude "Cope Tiger" Air Exercise - Cope Tiger - Defense - Thailand


Air forces of Thailand, Singapore and the United States concluded their annual trilateral air exercise, codenamed Exercise Cope Tiger, on Friday at the Korat Air Base in Thailand.



The closing ceremony was jointly officiated by Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force Air Chief Marshal Itthaporn Subhawong, Singapore's Chief of Air Force Brigadier-General Ng Chee Meng and Commander of the United States Pacific Air Forces General Gary North.

The 16th annual Cope Tiger series of excercises saw the deployment of 80 aircraft, 36 ground-based air defence systems and about 1,000 personnel from the three air forces.

Established in 1994, Exercise Cope Tiger is targeting the enhancement of interoperability and professionalism of the participating forces, and develop closer rapport and understanding among their personnel.
