French President asks wife Carla Bruni to end Thailand holiday with lover

According to British tabloid, The Sun, the French president this week has chartered a plane to ensure that his wife came home.

Bruni, 43, was on vacation in Thailand with longtime friend, pop star Benjamin Biolay, 37.

Swiss newspaper Tribune de Geneve reported that Bruni's holiday "was cut short by Nicolas Sarkozy himself".

"The president chartered a plane to bring his wife back to Paris," The Sun quoted the newspaper as saying.
