Drugs User Finally Caught after Hit and Run - Thailand - crime - Pattaya - drugs - hit-and-run

On Thursday morning, Pattaya Police were called by a local news reporter to inform them of a “Hit and Run” that had just happened at the South Pattaya Junction with Sukhumvit. A Bronze and Grey Toyota pickup truck that was involved left the accident scene heading towards Thepprasit Junction. The registration was also given to the police.

The patrol police and Volunteers managed to stop the pickup in Soi Thepprasit 17. The driver was identified as Mr.  Somjit Pakdeegamjorn aged 28 from Roy Ed province. His behavior was suspicious and the police ran urine test on him and found it was positive for drugs or alcohol.

There were no illegal items in the pickup and the culprit was taken for questioning and legal proceeding at Dongtan Police Station.

The reporter who called the police reported that the hit and run happened when he was waiting for the green light behind the pickup. When the lights turned green, the pickup did not move the reporter beeped his horn, and the pickup accelerated away at speed, and then suddenly stopped which caused the accident when his car hit the pickup in the rear.

The reporter got out of the car and walked to the pickup but Mr. Somjit, the driver, suddenly drove the pickup off at speed. Blame will no doubt be apportioned in time.
