Celebs raise funds for Irish tourist on Thai life support
He has been on a life-support machine for the past two weeks. Dylan's desperately worried family have travelled to Thailand to be by his side.
Doctors have yet to determine the exact nature of Dylan's condition, but he is understood to have banged his head in a swimming accident.
He had been travelling throughout Asia with friends for the past year and last month stopped over in Thailand.
News of his condition quickly spread back to his hometown, and prompted his friends to plan a fundraising event which will be held on Friday.
The popular electrician has been receiving floods of messages of support on his Facebook page and hundreds of friends are expected to turn out at the event, which aims to raise funds for his medical bills and flights home.
Celebrities such as Laura Whitmore, The Coronas and Irish soccer star Shane Long have all donated prizes to a raffle that will be held on the night.
Andy Byrne, a friend of Dylan, told the Herald that organisers were "overwhelmed" by the support for the event.
