'Second Chance' for Bangkok slums - Bangkok - society

An Australian "Op Shop" - or second hand trader - is funding school holiday activities for children in one of the poorest slums in Thailand's capital.

"Second Chance" sells mostly second hand goods from expats to pay for various sport and art activities in the notorious slum of Klongtoey. It's now developing a so-called "upcycling" program in which Thai women in need of an income make old clothes into new items - many of which are then sold back to foreign residents.

Presenter: Zoe Daniel, Southeast Asia correspondent
