After establishing bases in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, AirAsia has set its sights on Vietnam where it will establish a new low-cost airline with new partner, Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Co (Vietjet Air).

Budget carrier AirAsia said Tuesday it would launch flights to another five Indian cities from April, as part of its regional expansion despite global economic uncertainties.

AirAsia is giving away 1 million free seats, to over 70 destinations including China, India, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and many more across the airline’s extensive network of over 130 routes, stretching across 20 countries.

Senate chief whip Nikom Wairatpanich said on Wednesday that he personally felt that the public referendum should be held after the six-points for charter changes pass the first reading in the parliament.
